The vehicle I wanted, although listed on the GMC Dealerships website for my town, was actually at an affiliated dealership out of state. The sales representative and GM were hesitant to work with me until we "settled on some numbers", since I wasn't interested in a vehicle on their lot. After I prodded the sales representative to let me see and test drive a similar vehicle and only then would I make a determination, the sales representative became fully engaged and responsive. I never did hear back from the GM. I did make a commitment, and they brought the vehicle to their lot from out of state, and I did purchase the vehicle.

I was visiting family for a week in Front Royal and arranged my first service with Shenandoah GMC. The service consultant was pleasant but after I picked up my truck I noticed quite a bit of dried DEF fluid that had spilled over the rear quarter panel and wasn’t cleaned off. I called and left a message with a female who stated the manager wasn’t available until Monday but she would relay the message to him and she apologized for the situation. Well, Monday came and went and to date I still have not heard back from the manager or dealership.

They found the wiper blades were faulty, (which I felt they were a problem recently while cleaning my windshield. The wipers were not instock and I needed to return to the shop 2 days later. I called ahead to confirm and they had arrived. Installation was quick and all was handled well. Always a great experience with Front Royal Buick and GMC!

Mixed review because the sales experience was a good one, my sales person Mike was even kind and brought my son some gummy candy and a drink. But when I got home I had some concerns about the things I was told that didn’t lineup with the facts. For example, my trade in I had asked for 7K and they flat out told me that they would not give me that because that was a retail number that they’d sell my vehicle for so I was only allotted 3k for my trade in. Upon finding the listing on their website two days later they’d listed my vehicle for $15,443, more than double what they claimed that they’d sell it for. I texted Mike asking him to explain the difference and he told me it was listed that high to avoid getting leads on it while they had it in the shop and it would adjust. Well it never did adjust as I checked several times a day to make sure this wasn’t a lie I’d been told, and now it’s not even listed on the website anymore so that tells me it sold and most likely for double what they told me they would sell it for. Transparency is a huge deal to me especially as a single mother who went in trusting these people to do right by me and not give me less than half of what my vehicle was asked to trade in for then double that price on their website to sell it for. By the way carRX when they say it’s “included” in all their vehicles it is an extra $899 charge on your car total that they claim cannot be removed because it is standard in all their cars even though it’s essentially a duplicate of the myBuick app. I left with my car feeling super good until I got home and realized I was essentially swindled out of thousands of dollars between my trade and the CarRx. Oh and one last item, the Gap insurance was put on all options in finance, even the lowest one presented, and I was told “gap just is what it is” as though I can’t remove it to save on my monthly payment. Then I realized I could have added a similar item to my own insurance for cheaper and that the gap insurance didn’t have to be included like the finance man lead on. During signing the finance man was talking the whole time and made reading my documents as carefully as I should have more difficult as when I took time to pause and think he would interject and made me feel almost as though I was doing something wrong by trying to consider my options on the warranty extensions. My mistakes were that I was transparent with them that I had not bought a new car in 8 years and was not familiar with all the necessary items on a brand new car because I last bought used and I feel they very much took advantage of that instead of being descent humans and considering that maybe not jacking my final bill as high as they could with unnecessary fees and insurances I didn’t need to buy from them would have been the better way to go. Be aware if you buy from here. Will be servicing my vehicle at other GM or Buick dealerships as I no longer feel this one can be trusted.

The Dealership is one of the best I have dealt with. However, GMC had better get their engineering together. There is no reason for my engine to have failed to the point it needed to be replaced. I have three friends that had their engines fail. The shop said three more bad engines came in. How can GMC be so far off the mark? GMC had better figure it out. Is it DEI hires? I bet that’s it. Hire for merit only.
