1. The Interior is Comfortable
The Terrain can seat up to five passengers comfortably, and flexible seating allows you to configure the seats the way that suits you and your colleagues in your carpool best. When you need to load up all your gear, the front-passenger and second-row seats in the Terrain can be folded down flat so you can stash equipment up to 8 feet long inside. The front-to-back flat load floor gives you ample space for luggage or sporting equipment. When transporting fellow co-workers on your commute, space is of the essence. The electronic precision shift system has a compact design, which frees up storage space in the Terrain.
The cabin features soft-touch materials and real aluminum trim, which creates a classy yet comfortable interior for the family. You will appreciate the leather-wrapped steering wheel and available leather seats, which add luxurious touches inside. The available SkyScape sunroof extends past the second row, allowing everyone to enjoy sunny days or starry nights.
2. It’s Powerful
When the traffic clears and you can finally push the pedal to the metal, the Terrain’s available engines will get you going quickly. There are two engine options available for the Terrain depending on the trim you choose. A 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder are both available and paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Fill up the 14.9-gallon fuel tank and you’ll get an EPA-estimated 26 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
The front-wheel-drive SUV has a MacPherson front suspension and StabiliTrak electronic stability control, which gives you a smooth ride even on bumpy roads you may encounter on your commute.
3. It Can Tow
When you need to bring along a trailer full of equipment or tools to the job site, the Terrain has you covered. The SUV can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Hook up a trailer with the available trailer hitch and add on the trailering equipment to make the task that much easier.
4. It Has a Plethora of Safety Features
Keeping you and your passengers safe on the road is of the utmost importance. The 2020 Terrain comes with a number of active and passive safety features to ensure you arrive safely at your destination. In addition to the frontal, seat-mounted, and head-curtain air bags, the Terrain also includes forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, HD rear vision camera, IntelliBeam, and lane-keep assist with lane departure warning. For added safety, optional equipment includes lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.
Whether you’re carpooling or heading down the road to work alone, the 2020 TerrainĀ is a great option for your family.
