2022 Hummer EV

The 2022 Hummer EV has a wide wheelbase and a low, boxy profile, but it looks much sleeker than previous Hummers. An LED light bar spans the front bumper, and it's covered by HUMMER lettering. This truck also has a small lower grille, aluminum wheels with a unique design, a large skid plate, and a 5-foot truck bed. GMC's MultiPro tailgate opens and closes like a traditional tailgate. You can use it to make a step, a convenient seat, a load stop for hauling large items, or a standing workstation. The Edition 1 trim level will be available in 2021, and GMC will introduce EV2, EV2X, and EV3X trims later. With the premium Edition 1, you'll get 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, a power cover that makes the truck bed more aerodynamic, and a power rear window. The transparent roof panels work like a sunroof, and you can remove them and store them in the “frunk,” a storage compartment near the front. Steel rock sliders for additional off-road protection are available.

With the Edition 1, you'll get three electric engines that generate a combined 1000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque. The EV3X has three motors that give 800 horsepower and 9,500 pound-feet of torque. The EV2 and EV2X have two engines that produce 625 horsepower and 7,400 pound-feet of torque.

This truck comes with all-wheel drive, and you can use four-wheel steering to turn the wheels up to 10 degrees in either direction. With the optional CrabWalk mode, you can drive diagonally at low speeds, increasing your maneuverability on tight trails. With the Watts to Freedom driving mode, the 2022 Hummer EV can get to 60 mph in only 3.0 seconds. You can also choose an adjustable air suspension with Extract Mode. It raises the ground clearance up to 6 inches to help you move over big obstacles. The Ultium battery pack provides 350 miles of driving range, and it's easy to charge the Hummer at home with an adapter. If a fast charging station is available, you can add 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

Five people can ride in the Hummer EV, and the interior comes with lots of advanced features and attractive styling. The Edition 1 has a 13.4-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, Android Auto, a digital key system, a Wi-Fi hot spot, easy-to-clean rubber-topped vinyl floors, and navigation.

The Hummer EV helps you stay safe with automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance. You can add a Super Cruise driving mode to let you steer and even change lanes hands-free. There's also an optional UltraVision underbody camera system to help you avoid off-road obstacles.
